Lynchburg, Va. --The Lynchburg women's lacrosse team (0-1) travels to Fayetteville, N.C. for a non-conference matchup against Methodist (1-2) Saturday, Feb. 22, at noon.
This will be the ninth meeting between the two programs since 20.2, Lynchburg has defeated Methodist in each of these contests. The Hornets and Monarchs met last season in iLynchburgrg, which resulted in a 5-16 Hornet victory.
After falling to Lynchburg last season, the Monarchs went on to win 15 consecutive games and make an appearance in the USA South championship.
Methodist enters this game with a win in their most recent matchup, a 19-8 final over Linfield University. USA South All-Confrence attackman Mikayla Ramos has orchestrated the offense with a team-high 16 points with seven goals and nine assists. Kaitlyn Coleman and Kennedy Martin tie for first on the team in goals, each with eight. Martin is also a crucial piece in the defensive efforts for the Monarchs, coming off a USA South Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-USA South campaign.
In their season opener, Lynchburg fell 4-13 to Christopher Newport.

Lynchburg will travel back to North Carolina for their ensuing game against Guilford in Greensboro on Tuesday, Feb 25.
