Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg men's volleyball team (3-4) heads to Swannona, N.C. for a meeting with the Warren Wilson Owls (0-5) this Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m.
The Owls are still searching for their first match and set win this season. Through their first five games, they have suffered 3-0 sweeps across the board. Two of the Owl's losses this season have come against ODAC opponents, Averett and Roanoke.
Warren Wilson will play one more game before playing the Hornets, taking on Erskine College on the road, on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
The Hornets are coming off a 1-1 performance from their round-robin Saturday showcase, picking up their first ODAC win over Averette 3-0 and falling to Marymount 0-3. Nick Redding, Bryce Jackson, and Jeremiah Costello have emerged as three prolific two-way players for Ryan Turner and company early in the season with their dynamic playmaking.
This matchup will be the first of two meetings between the two teams this season. Until then, Lynchburg will have five more road games before they return to Turner to square off with the Owls once again.
