Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg beach volleyball team is set to play four home matches this weekend against Richard Bland, Stevenson, Liberty, and Southern Virginia.
The Hornets (6-5) look to take advantage of their only home matchups of the regular season. They look to do so first against Richard Bland (4-4). Lynchburg has a slight lead in the series history between the two teams at 3-2. Last time against the Eagles the Hornets were bested 2-3. The Hornets look to get the better of them this season.
The Second matchup of the weekend will be against Stevenson (5-4). The two squads were set to play earlier this season but were unfortunately canceled due to weather conditions. The Hornets look to take their second ever win against the Mustangs as they are losing the series 1-5.Â
The Hornets continue their weekend games against Liberty (11-4). The Flames came out on top against the Hornets earlier this season, winning 1-4. Lynchburg looks to flip the script this time around and take a win against Liberty.
Lynchburg will finish their weekend against a common opponent in Southern Virginia (5-12). The Hornets have played the Knights three times this season and are undefeated in those matchups.Â
A weekend full of beach volleyball is set to kick off on Friday, March 28, at 12 p.m.
