Lynchburg, Va. --The Lynchburg women's lacrosse team travels to Lake Wales, Fla. for a matchup with Warner University on Monday, March 10, at 5 p.m.
The Royals enter this affair after snapping a two-game losing streak in their last game. Warner took down New College of Florida, 18-6, on their home field. When playing at home this season, the Royals have split their two games, 1-1.
Sophomore midfielder Bailey Dykes leads the Royals in scoring this season, racking up 37 goals and 10 assists thus far. She has notched eight goals in three separate games this year.
The Hornets head to the Sunshine State after a dominant win in their most recent matchup against Virginia Wesleyan.
McKenna Steinau leads the team in points with 14 on the season, coming off a four-goal, five-point performance.
Sydney Dumas is tied for first on the team with Steinau in the goals column with 11 on the season.
On the defensive end
Meredith Bornholdt has caused issues for opposing teams through the first five games. The 2024 All-ODAC defender leads the team with seven caused turnovers and 10 ground balls.
Following this game, Lynchburg will stay down south for a neutral site contest with Otterbein on Wednesday, March 12.
