Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg softball team concludes their three-game double-header road stint at Roanoke on Wednesday, April 16, with the first pitch set for 4 p.m.
Last season, the Hornets got the best of the Maroons in both games of their doubleheader. Nevertheless, Roanoke held a five-game win streak over Lynchburg prior to last season's doubleheader. Â
The Maroons (15-15) welcome Lynchburg with a win in their most recent game against Randolph-Macon, 6-1. This win snapped a six-game losing streak for Roanoke.Â
Roanoke enters this affair tenth in the ODAC in batting average, hitting .247 this season, and the fifth-best team ERA at 2.59. The Maroon's pitching staff has been excellent, with both starters sitting in the top 11 in the conference for ERA this season.
