Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg women's lacrosse team hosts the final Code Red game of the 2024-25 school year with an ODAC affair against no. 17 Roanoke this Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. 

In the last ten meetings between the Hornets and the Maroons, Roanoke has had a slight edge winning six of the games. However, the Maroons have five consecutive contests against the Hornets, including a 4-20 win last season. 

Roanoke (9-5) arrives in the Hill City with wins in five of their last six games, with a dominant 20-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan in their most recent affair. 

The Maroon's offense this season has run through senior attack Grace Koutouzis. Koutouzis leads the team in both goals and assists with 38 in each category, ranking seventh and third in the ODAC respectively. 

Lynchburg enters this contest after dropping their most recent game against Shenandoah, 6-15, which snapped a five-game win streak. The Hornets are 4-2 this season on their home turf, dropping their two games to talented squads in No. 15 Christopher Newport and No. 8 Washington & Lee. 

The Hornets sport one of the top-scoring offenses in the ODAC this season, netting 232 goals thus far, just two goals behind first-place W&L. On the defensive end, the Hornets lead the conference in both caused turnovers (167) and ground balls (280). As a result, Lynchburg leads the conference in goal differential at +8.7. 

Alexis Senn has been a pivotal playmaker between the pipes for the Hornets this season, tallying a save percentage of .497 with 5.56 goals allowed per game. 

This matchup will conclude the Hornets' home slate in the regular season. Their final game of the year will be at EMU (6-8) on Wednesday, April 23.
