Sweet Briar, Va. -- The Lynchburg Hornets notched their most dominant win of the season in a 22-0 victory over the Sweet Briar Vixens.
Neely Morris led the team with four goals and five points in the contest.
McKenna Steinau also tabbed a hat trick with three goals and one assist. AÂ total of 14 Hornets found the back of the cage, and 19 of the 22 were assisted.
Mya Hausauer finished with a career-high and team leading four assists.Â
Lynchburg began the affair on a strong note, scoring 15 goals in the first quarter on 18 shots. In the second frame, the Hornets added seven more goals to their total with nine shots in the quarter.Â
The Hornets controlled the momentum with strong play at the draw control, winning 24 of the 25 on the night.Â
Lynchburg has now won seven of their last eight games, five of which have included 20 or more goals.Â
The Hornets will stay on the road for their next matchup at Bridgewater this Saturday, April 5, to take on the Eagles.Â
