Raleigh, N.C. -- The University of Lynchburg women's tennis team traveled south for its final nonconference competition of the season and bageled Meredith, 7-0, on Wenesday afternoon.

The match opened with a dominant performance in doubles play, as Lynchburg swept all three positions. Isadora Lima and Ashley Hair secured a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Giovana Gaboardi and Maggie Wonderling followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 2, and Gabriella Rivero and Maddie Brunelle completed the sweep with a 6-1 decision at No. 3.

Lynchburg carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Isadora Lima led the lineup with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. Giovana Gaboardi earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2, and Megan Tinsley followed with a 6-0, 6-1 result at No. 3.

In the remaining singles matches, Harper Dodd recorded a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4. Reese McAtee added a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Sarah Wood closed the match with a 6-2, 6-2 decision at No. 6.

With wins in all three doubles matches and all six singles contests, Lynchburg completed the sweep. The team controlled play throughout the match, securing every point and winning each singles match in straight sets to finish with the 7-0 result.

Lynchburg returns to the court this weekend in Greensboro, N.C. against ODAC foe Guilford on Saturday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m.
