Pokorak Earns Second ODAC Player of the Week Award

Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg baseball player Jack Pokorak was selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Pokorak earned ODAC Player of the Week honors following a standout stretch at the plate, going 10-for-19 across the Hornets' four games this past week. He drove in 11 runs while blasting two home runs and scoring five times, powering Lynchburg's offense in multiple key moments.

A defining performance came against the No. 8 Bridgewater Eagles, where Pokorak went five-for-nine at the plate including a bomb that scored two runs in the first frame. His offensive surge played a critical role in securing an away doubleheader sweep, as Lynchburg capitalized on his consistency and extra-base power to overwhelm a nationally ranked opponent. Pokorak's performance against the Eagles helped secure a regular-season conference title for the Hornets.

Lynchburg Baseball are currently preparing for a difficult week of matchups in the Hill City with a midweek against a Randolph-Macon squad that is receiving votes in the national poll on Tuesday, April 21 at 3 p.m. and a double header against a top-five nationally-ranked team in Shenandoah on Saturday, April 25 at noon.
