Lynchburg, Va. – 10 athletes broke the two-minute mark in the men's 800-meter run, while seven Hornets broke 4:10 in the men's 1,500-meter run to conclude the home slate for the Lynchburg outdoor track & field teams at the Hill City Twilight.

In a heavy Division I competition that saw five track facility records fall by the end of the evening, the Hornets combined to post 27 top-five marks.

Men's Results

Five Hornets earned top-10 results in the men's 800m, led by Rylan Allcorn's 1:55.21 personal-best performance for third. Ryan Warner also snuck inside the top five with an identical 1:55.21 result for fourth, narrowly falling behind Allcorn by thousandths of a second.

In addition, Chasen Hunt clocked 3:46.67 in the men's 1,500m to place 12th and earn the fifth-fastest time in DIII. Hunt's performance is a new season best, as he improved his previous mark from the Raleigh Relays by a second.

Beyond Lynchburg's depth on the distance side, Antaveon Steele and Elijah Rose claimed individual victories in the men's 110-meter hurdles and men's high jump, respectively. Steele soared to a 15.13 110m hurdle result, while Rose cleared 6' 6¼" (1.99m) in the high jump. 

Demetri Hinton earned his fourth consecutive top-five performance in the men's triple jump, finishing second in the men's triple jump with a 46' 9" (14.25m) leap. In the men's long jump, Ty Mauer placed second with a 22' 1" (6.73m) result, while Micah Leech earned third place (21' 10¾" or 6.67m).

Bronson Andrasz placed third in the men's pole vault, elevating over the 14' 6¼" (4.43m) bar.  

Women's Results

On the women's side, Lynchburg submitted nine podium performances, headlined by Haylee Smith's first-place 124' (37.80m) throw in the women's javelin. Smith also placed third in the women's discus, posting a 115' 1" (35.09m) mark behind Kenzie Swicegood's second-place 119' 4" (36.38m) throw.

Hannah Edwards cruised to a 2:14.31 performance in the women's 800m invite, placing 11th in the field with a season best. Adelynn Carpenter posted 17:47.11 in the women's 5,000-meter invite to finish seventh.

Rylee Turner secured a pair of top-five finishes in the women's 100-meter and 200-meter dash in her final race on Jack M. Toms Track. The senior clocked 12.49 in the 100m and a personal-best 25.06 in the 200m to finish fourth in both events. Brianna Taylor followed behind in the 100m with a fifth-place 12.55 result.

In the women's 400-meter dash, Kaitlyn Ruiz raced to a 57.01 performance for second in the field.

Selah Parker leaped to second place in the women's long jump, setting a 17' 1¼" (5.21m) mark. In addition, Alyssa McGregor threw 34' 11" (10.64m) in the women's shot put for third.
