Lynchburg Women Fall to Sweet Briar 8-1

                LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's team continued its struggles Wednesday, as the Hornets dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match to the Vixens of Sweet Briar College 8-1 in play from the LC Courts.

                Lynchburg (0-7/0-6 ODAC)took one of the doubles match to enter singles play down 2-1, but dropped all six singles contests. Jessie Moore (Salem, VA/Glenvar) and Gretel Coleman (Bedford, NY/The Harvey School) teamed to take their No. 2 doubles match 8-5. The Hornets almost snatched another doubles match as Sascha Barrow (West Point, VA/West Point) and Sarah Fleming (Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley NW) lost 8-5 in No. 3 doubles.

                LC will entertain the Eagles of Bridgewater College tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. on the LC Courts.
