Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's tennis team had three student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicatiors (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Harper Dodd,
Ashley Hair, and
Isadora Lima were all named CSC Academic All-District selections for Lynchburg. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined efforts in the classroom and on the court. To earn a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team, honorees are required to be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and they must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above. For women's tennis, eligible nominees have to participate in a minimum of 75% of total matches played by the squad during the season that include team scores.
As a group, the women's tennis team found much success on the court with the most wins for the program since the 2021-22 season. The Hornets claimed the fourth seed in the ODAC tournament and earned an emphatic 4-1 victory over Guilford in the quarterfinal round. Collectively, the squad won 56.7% of singles matches 58.8% of doubles contests.
