Lynchburg Tennis Swept by Bridgewater Thursday

LYNCHBURG, VA - The Bridgewater College tennis teams earned a sweep of the Lynchburg Hornets in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Thursday. The LC men fell 9-0 while the women dropped their match 8-1.

In the women's match, Lynchburg dropped a close match at No. 2 doubles, as Gretel Coleman (Bedford, NY/The Harvey School) and Jessie Moore (Salem, VA/Glenvar) fell 8-6. Moore picked up the Hornets' lone victory of the afternoon, winning her No. 2 singles match three and two.

In men's play, Lynchburg struggled to get much going all day, though Dustin Dull (Clifton, VA/Centreville) fell in an exciting  three-set marathon, winning the first set 6-1 before dropping the second set 6-3 and the tiebreak 10-8.

The Lynchburg College women travel to Salem, VA on Monday for an ODAC match at 4 p.m., while the Hornet men will travel to Randolph College next Wednesday for a league contest at 4 p.m.
