Roanoke Tennis Blanks LC Women 9-0

SALEM, VA - The Lynchburg College women's tennis squad battled hard Monday but fell 9-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play to league rival Roanoke College in action from the Roanoke College Campus Courts.

In doubles, the Maroons swept all three matches as the Hornets only captured one game in No. 2 doubles. Mother Nature reared her head mid-match, forcing play to be suspended, but afterwards Roanoke would take the remaining six singles' flights for the win.

Lynchburg (0-9/0-8 ODAC) will try to snap its nine-game losing streak on Wednesday as the Hornets will travel across town for a league match with Randolph College at 4 p.m.
