LC Women Breeze by Randolph College 7-2

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team played a home match against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Randolph College on Wednesday and won 7-2.

Senior Clare Wallendjack (Kensington, MD/Walter Johnson) and freshman Casey Moore (Salem, VA/Glenvar) won 8-5 at #1 doubles and Moore also notched a win at #4 singles.  Sophomore Susanna Jones (North, VA/Matthews) teamed with sophomore Jeannine Malay (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) to win 8-1 at #2 doubles, while Malay also had a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 singles.  Senior Bridget Rachwal (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) had a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 win at #3 singles and won a by default at #3 doubles with Hailey Bettencourt.  Junior Gretel Coleman (Bedford, NY/The Harvey School) had a 6-0, 6-0 win at #5 singles.

The LC women's tennis team (1-5/1-5 ODAC) will face off against Ferrum College at home game on Monday at 3 p.m.
