LC Men's Tennis Swings Past Ferrum College 6-3

FERRUM, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team traveled to face Ferrum College on Wednesday and won 7-2 in non-conference play.

Sophomore Betsy Stipa teamed up with freshman Melissa Drinkard at #1 doubles winning 9-7, while sophomore Kelsey Bergen and Berry Morse won 8-4 at #2 doubles. At #3 doubles, sophomore Hailey Bettencourt and freshman Madison Dixon won 8-5.

Bergen took #1 singles winning 7-5, 6-3, while Drinkard won 6-1, 6-3 at #2 singles. Dixon won at #5 singles with a score of 6-4, 2-6 (10-7) and Bettencourt won at #6 singles 6-0, 6-0.

The Hornet women (3-6) will be back in action on Sunday, Mar. 25 when they will face off against Emory & Henry at home at 2:00 p.m. in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup.
