LC Tennis Women Drops Match 8-1 to Roanoke

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team faced off against rival Roanoke College on Wednesday at home and lost 8-1 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

Betsy Stipa and Melissa Drinkard teamed up at #1 doubles and were able to capture four wins in the match. Stipa also competed at #2 singles, gaining a victory after Laura Dodson of Roanoke had to retire during the second set.  The Hornets had to default the matches at the #3 doubles and #6 singles spots.

The Hornet women (1-7/0-6 ODAC) will be back in action on Friday in an away match against Sweet Briar College at 3:30 p.m.
