LC Women Drop Match against Guilford 8-1

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team participated in a home match against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Guilford College on Saturday and lost 8-1.

Betsy Stipa competed at #2 singles and notched a 6-1, 7-5 win. Stipa also teamed up with Melissa Drinkard at #1 singles, taking three games overall. Drinkard played hard at #1 singles and was able to win four games in the first set, while Madison Dixon won four games overall at #3 singles.

The Hornet women (1-9/0-9 ODAC) will be back in action on Sunday when they will travel to face Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m. in ODAC play.
