Va. Weslayan Defeats LC Men 8-1

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team traveled to face Virginia Wesleyan College on Sunday and lost 8-1 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

Matt Karvelas and Tyler Long teamed up to win #3 doubles in a close match 8-6, while Derek Kegerreis and Owen Landon were able to win three games at #1 doubles.

Kegerreis also captured three games in the second set at #2 singles and Landon was able to take four games overall at #3 singles.  Long competed hard at #5 singles and made it close, only losing 8-6.

The Hornet men (4-7/1-6 ODAC) will be back at home on Tuesday when they will face off against ODAC opponent Randolph-Macon College at 3:00 p.m.
