Hornet Women's Tennis Loses to Virginia Wesleyan 7-2

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team traveled to face off against Virginia Wesleyan College on Sunday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match and lost 7-2.

Betsy Stipa competed well at #2 singles, winning 8-2, while Ari Peikin gained a decisive 8-1 victory at #4 singles. Stipa also teamed up with Melissa Drinkard at #1 doubles, taking four games as a team. Drinkard also competed at #1 singles and was able to win four games overall.

The LC women (1-10/0-10 ODAC) will be back in action on Tuesday at home when they will face ODAC opponent Randolph-Macon College at 3:00 p.m.
