LC Women Drop One to #22 W&L 5-0
LEXINGTON, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team traveled to Lexington on Tuesday to face off against Washington and Lee University in their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup of the year and were defeated 5-0.
Junior Madison Dixon and freshman Carter Vaughn competed at #2 doubles and were able to win a game against Claire Cahill and Brooke Donnelly of W&L. Junior Hailey Bettencourt and freshmen Kelsey Krisik served up at the #3 spot in doubles competition, winning one game. Senior Betsy Stipa was down 6-0, 2-1 at #2 singles, but the match went unfinished.
The Hornet women (0-2/0-1 ODAC) will be back in action on Friday at 3 p.m. when they travel to Randolph-Macon College to face the Yellow Jackets in ODAC play.
