LC Women's Tennis Scores 7-1 Easter Win over Ferrum

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team posted a 7-1 win over visiting Ferrum College on Easter Sunday in a non-conference match. It is the Hornets third win in their last four matches and boosts LC's record to 7-5 on the season.

All three doubles contests ended with 8-0 outcomes, with the LC #2 and #3 duos of Erika Hadland and Kelsey Dowling and Sarah Wyly and Lilli Altenburg defeating their Panther counterparts.

Hadland and Wyly breezed to victories at #2 and #3 singles, respectively, and Dowling earned a 7-5, 6-1 win at #4. Altenburg and Jerica Simmons didn't drop a game in easy wins at #5 and #6 singles.

Lynchburg travels to Mary Baldwin College Wednesday for a non-conference clash with the Fighting Squirrels Wednesday at 4 p.m.
