Hornet Women's Tennis picks up 10th Win of season against Shenandoah
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team earned its 10th win of the season Sunday, 6-3 over Shenandoah University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. The 10 victories is the most for the program since the 1993-94 season.
The Hornets captured two of the three doubles contests as the #2 duo of Erika Hadland and Kelsey Dowling and the #3 tandem of Valeria Erostegui and Lilli Altenburg scored 8-2 wins.
Hadland and Altenburg had easy victories at #2 and #4, respectively, while Dowling fought to a three-set win at #5. Jerica Simmons defeated her SU opponent 7-5, 6-1 at #6 singles.
LC (10-8/4-4 ODAC) travels to Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. for another ODAC match.
