Lynchburg, Va. -- Lynchburg College's women's tennis team gutted out a 6-3 victory Wednesday afternoon across town at Randolph to remain unbeaten in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play. The Hornets have now won seven-straight matches.

Lynchburg jumped ahead with a pair of wins in doubles play and cinched the match with four singles victories.

Sophomore Christina Harris (Falls Church, Va.) continued her undefeated season at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph, and Harris and partner Sarah Wyly (Leesburg, Va.) won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.

Lynchburg swept the lower half of singles competition as junior Lilli Altenburg (Lexington, Va.), freshman Ellen Druebbisch (Jamestown, N.C.), and junior Reagan Coon (Churchville, Va.) secured straight-set victories.

Coon and sophomore Halle Lavieri (Killingworth, Conn.) also hung a win at No. 3 doubles.

The Hornets (10-3, 6-0 ODAC) will return home on Sunday, April 15 to take on Roanoke at 3 p.m. at the LC Tennis Courts.
