Women's tennis sweeps Shenandoah

Lynchburg, Va. -- Lynchburg College's women's tennis team matched the program's highest win total since 1993, collecting its 11th victory of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Shenandoah.

It marked the fifth time this season that Lynchburg has swept its opponent.

Sophomore Christina Harris (Falls Church, Va.) continued her unbeaten season at No. 1 singles with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory, and junior Reagan Coon (Churchville, Va.) matched that result in her own win at No. 5 singles.

Coon didn't lose a game in doubles, either, as she and sophomore Halle Lavieri (Killingworth, Conn.) won 8-0 at No. 3. Junior Lilli Altenburg (Lexington, Va.) and freshman Ellen Druebbisch (Jamestown, N.C.) also won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.

LC (11-4, 7-1 ODAC) will play host to Emory & Henry on Sunday, April 22 with first serve scheduled for noon on the LC Tennis Courts.
