Women's tennis stays unbeaten in ODAC play

Bridgewater, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's tennis team rolled to a 7-2 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon at rival Bridgewater.

The Hornets (8-1, 3-0 ODAC) cruised through doubles play to a 3-0 lead and held serve in singles play to nail down the win.

Senior Reagan Coon (Churchville, Va.) dominated at No. 5, winning 6-0, 6-0.

Junior Christina Harris (Falls Church, Va.), freshman Alissa Anderson (Norfolk, Va.), and senior Lilli Altenburg (Lexington, Va.) also won in straight sets at Nos. 1, 3, and 6, respectively.

The Hornets will continue ODAC play Sunday, March 31 with a trip to Emory & Henry. Due to bad weather in the forecast, the 1:30 p.m. match will be played at the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, Tenn.
