Sweet Briar, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's tennis team picked up another Old Dominion Athletic Conference dual victory Friday afternoon, a 5-0 road defeat of Sweet Briar inside the Vixens' Upchurch Field House.
The Hornets rolled through doubles play with ease. No. 2 duo of senior Sarah Wyly (Leesburg, Va.) and sophomore Ellen Druebbisch (Jamestown, N.C.) won, 8-0, and seniors Reagan Coon (Churchville, Va.) and Lilli Altenburg (Lexington, Va.) captured the same result at the No. 3 flight.
The top-flight duo of junior Christina Harris (Falls Church, Va.) and freshman Alissa Anderson (Norfolk, Va.) won, 8-3.
Lynchburg finished the match quickly in singles action as Anderson won, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 and sophomore Emily Hoang (Sterling, Va.) was triumphant, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3.
The Hornets (11-2, 6-1 ODAC) will be back in conference action Saturday, April 13 with a 3 p.m. match at Hollins.
