Raleigh, N.C. -- University of Lynchburg's women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 sweep of William Peace on the road Friday.
The Hornets (2-0) yielded just one game on the day as doubles duos of Elizabeth Teefey and Grace Teefey at No. 2 and Ellen Druebbisch and Alexa Hardesty at No. 3 claimed 8-0 victories.
Lynchburg continued its dominance in singles play, led by first-flight's Christina Harris, who won 6-0, 6-0. Elizabeth Teefey, Druebbisch, and Alissa Anderson all added 6-0, 6-0 victories, and Lauren Pascadlo and Grace Teefey won 8-0 single sets at Nos. 5 and 6.
The Hornets will be back in action tomorrow when Methodist visits Lynchburg for a 2 p.m. match.
