Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's tennis completed their fall season with an 8-1 win over Covenant on Saturday morning.
Lynchburg hosted the Scots after also participating at the Battle of the Blue Ridge and ITA Southeast Regionals in September.
The Hornets took a 3-0 lead into singles action after sweeping doubles play. Christina Harris and Alissa Anderson took down their opponents, 8-4. Elizabeth Teefey and Grace Teefey teamed up at the second doubles flight while Alexa Hardesty and Lauren Pascadlo hit the court for No. 3 doubles. Both duos bested their Scots foes, 8-1.
Harris only lost one game on the first court, winning 6-1, 6-0 and earning her 88th-career win. Hardesty also bested her opponent 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Elizabeth Teefey, the B3 Draw champion at ITAs, won 6-4, 6-2 at the second singles flight. Anderson earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
Emma Pinola and Pascadlo both forced their matches into the third set. Pascadlo lost at No. 4 singles but Pinola grabbed a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10) win at the sixth singles flight.
