Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's tennis team claimed its second sweep in as many days Sunday with a dominant 9-0 victory over Guilford in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
Lynchburg celebrated Senior Day and the Class of 2021 -- Ellen Druebbisch and Caroline Guill -- prior to the match.
Guill and doubles partner Christina Harris made quick work of the Quakers' pair at No. 1 with an 8-0 win, and Elizabeth Teefey and Alexa Hardesty followed suit with the same result at No. 3 as Lynchburg led 3-0 after doubles play.
Guill finished off her perfect Senior Day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles, while Druebbisch was victorious, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 5.
Harris (6-1, 6-1), Teefey (6-1, 6-1), Alissa Anderson (6-1, 6-0), and Lauren Pascadlo (6-2, 6-0) also earned singles victories to help Lynchburg pitch the shutout.
The Hornets (11-1, 7-0 ODAC) are scheduled to hit the road to continue ODAC action Wednesday at Bridgewater with a 2 p.m. start.
