Roanoke, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's tennis defeated Hollins 9-0 Wednesday afternoon.
The Hornets earned their fourth-straight win of the season and fifth-consecutive win over Hollins.
The Hornets only dropped one game in double play. Christina Harris and Alissa Anderson swept their opponents at the first-doubles flight, and Elizabeth and Grace Teefey did the same at No. 2. Alexa Hardesty and Emma Pinola took down their third-flight opponents 8-1.
Harris earned her 90th-career win with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. At the second flight, Elizabeth Teefey won 6-0, 6-2. Elizabeth Teefey is one of four undefeated Hornets in singles play this season.
Both Anderson and Hardesty swept their opponents at the third and fourth flights, respectively.
Jordan Ottaviano stepped up to No. 5 and tallied a win, and Mimi Oliver grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win in her first action of the spring campaign.
The Hornets tallied their first 9-0 win since Apr. 24, 2021 at Randolph-Macon. Lynchburg won 9-0 eight times last season.
