Bridgewater, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's tennis senior Alissa Anderson won her 47th-career singles match as the Hornets took down Bridgewater 9-0 Sunday afternoon.
With the win, Anderson moved into second place of the program's career-singles wins leaderboard. Anderson won 6-1, 6-0 at the fourth-singles flight on Sunday and has won 14 singles matches this season.
Anderson also teamed up with Alexa Hardesty for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
Christina Harris and Lauren Pascadlo won at No. 1, while Elizabeth Teefey and Grace Teefey earned their 15th doubles win as a pairing at No. 2.
Harris only dropped one game at the first flight on her way to her 98th-career singles win. Pascadlo won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2, and Elizabeth Teefey took down her opponent 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3. The junior leads the team with 17 singles wins this year.
Hardesty battled to a hard-fought win at the fifth flight, and Grace Teefey sealed the sweep for Lynchburg with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6.
The Hornets (13-1, 5-1 ODAC) do not have to travel far for their next road match as they visit Randolph on Wednesday, Apr. 20 at 2 p.m.
