Ashland, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's tennis took down Randolph-Macon 9-0 Sunday afternoon.
Alissa Anderson and Alexa Hardesty started the sweep off with a win at the third-double flight. Elizabeth Teefey and Grace Teefey won at No. 2, and Christina Harris and Lauren Pascadlo took down their No. 1 opponents 8-1.
Harris, the 25th-ranked singles player in the Atlantic South Region, swiftly swept her opponent at the first-singles flight. Harris now owns 101 singles wins in her career. She earned her 100th on Friday against Va. Wesleyan.
Anderson only needed 13 games to take down her opponent at No. 4. for her 17th win of the season. Elizabeth Teefey also won 6-1, 6-0. At the second flight, Pascadlo grabbed her fifth win of the season. Emma Pinola stayed undefeated at No. 5, and Mimi Oliver won 6-2, 6-1 at the sixth flight.
The Hornets began the season with a nine-match winning streak that ended on Mar. 22. Since then, Lynchburg has won seven-straight and are in third place of the conference standings.
Lynchburg (16-1, 8-1 ODAC) wraps up the regular season with Senior Day on Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 4 p.m.
