Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's swimming teams competed against Mary Washington Saturday afternoon on Homecoming.
The men narrowly fell to the Eagles by two points, and the women lost 165.5-96.40.
The men kicked off the meet with a win in the 400-yard medley relay. Colton Schnars went 52.43 to begin the relay with the backstroke leg. Andrew Fiore, Miles West, and Will Kasemeyer finished up in 3:33.69.
The men won seven individual events and closed the meet with another relay victory. Ryan Legge, West, Schnars, and Kasemeyer won the 400-yard freestyle with a 3:13.26.
Ahmad Woodson scored twice for the men in his distance events winning the 1,000-yard and 500-yard freestyle.
Mei White broke the American record in the 100-yard breaststroke for her para-swimming classification. She went 1:17.69 to break the record.
Savy Borroughs won the only two events for the women going 24.64 in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle in 54.67.
