Lexington, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's swimming teams fell to Washington and Lee on Saturday.
The men lost 198-62 to the Generals, and the women fell 175-85.
Lynchburg championed three events with all three coming on the women's side. Claire Galloway touched the wall first on two occasions. She won the 100-yard breaststroke by almost three seconds in 1:06.92. She also won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:30.15 just beating Paige McBoyle by .68 seconds.
Molly Spano won Lynchburg's third event. She swam the 400-yard IM in 4:47.25.
Miles West came in second for the men in the 100-yard backstroke. Colton Schnars and Ryan Legge placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle. Schnars also came in second in the 200-yard backstroke.
The Hornets put four swimmers in the top-5 of the 500-yard freestyle on both the men's and women's side. Ahmad Woodson came in second for the men, and Sydney Parrott placed second for the women.
