Forest, Va. -- Sophomore 
Maximo Jacquet of the University of Lynchburg men's swim team was appointed the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 
Jacquet and the Hornets took on Mary Washington this past weekend in their first official competition in nearly two months and narrowly fell, 134-128. The men's team had a solid performance, highlighted by Jacquet's four first-place finishes.
The 2024 All-ODAC Third Teamer was the first legs of a 200 yard medley relay team and 200 yard freestyle relay team that claimed top spots with 1:36.20 and 1:27.16 times, respectively. He also earned first in his individual events, finishing the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.60 and the 100 yard backstroke in 52.29.
Although the Hornets did not triumph in their last outing, they will look to bounce back when they host Southern Virginia on Saturday, January 25 at noon in the Liberty Natatorium.
