Lynchburg Swimming Sets 18 Program Meters Records At Bridgewater

Bridgewater, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's swim teams notched 18 school meters records in loss to Bridgewater on Saturday.

Four different relay teams set school records in the short course meters pool at Bridgewater. The crew of Eliza Fleenor, Kailen Craddock, Charlotte Grieve and Sienna Schmeck claimed a time of 2:12.59 in the 200 SCM Medley Relay. On the men's side, the team of Will Kasemeyer, Logan Page, Miles West and Adam Fisher earned a 1:52.13 in the 200 SCM Medley Relay. The quad of Giuliana Soria, Regan Leach, Craddock and Schmeck finished the 200 SCM Freestyle Relay in 1:56.00, while the team of West, Fisher, Zach Hubbard and Kasemeyer earned a time of 1:39.64 in the same event.

The Hornets finished with 14 different individual records on the day. Schmeck earned two records with a 2:14.91 in the 200 SCM Freestyle and a 1:02.69 in the 100 SCM Freestyle. Erik Witt claimed records in the 800 SCM Freestyle with a time of 9:15.52 and in the 200 SCM Backstroke with a 2:18.92 finish. Andrew Neculai snagged records in the 200 SCM Freestyle with a time of 2:04.60 and in the 200 SCM IM, finishing in 2:20.05

West was the final Lynchburg performer to stamp two school records with a 1:01.91 time in the 100 SCM Backstroke and a 55.74 finish in the 100 SCM Freestyle. Some more program records for the women's team: Morgan Jenkins earned a 10:51.78 time in the 800 SCM Freestyle, Jordyn Adametz claimed a time of 1:26.06 in the 100 SCM Breaststroke, Fleenor had a 1:12.37 time in the 100 SCM Backstroke and Caroline Inskeep snagged a time of 3:00.57 in the 200 SCM Breaststroke. Regarding some individual school records for the men's crew, Kasemeyer claimed a time of 24.89 in the 50 SCM Freestyle and Page eanred a 2:34.29 time in the 200 SCM Breaststroke. 

Lynchburg finished out the regular season strong and looks ahead to the ODAC postseason. The ODAC Championships will begin on Wednesday, February 12 and span through Saturday, February 15 in Greensboro, N.C.
