Forest, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg track and field student-athletes
Chasen Hunt and
Lamont Victoria were awarded the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Hunt and Victoria are coming off of outstanding weekends in their respective events. At the Liberty Open this past Friday, senior
Lamont Victoria created program history in just his third meet with the Hornets, hitting a mark of a 6' 10¾" (2.10m) in the men's high jump to tie David Lichtenstein's indoor school record and secure the top position on the Division III qualifying lists.
Victoria also posted the second-fastest 60m time in school history, completing the sprint in 6.81 for third overall at the meet in prelims and eighth in DIIIÂ this season. While the senior did not compete in finals, he helped the Lynchburg men's 4x400m relay team to a ninth-place 3:26.64 effort.
Hunt, the reigning 2025 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field 5,000-Meter Champion, was nothing short of remarkable as well. He posted a 4:05.99 time in the men's mile invite to place second overall and register the second-fastest performance in division III for the 2025-26 campaign. Hunt also finished fifth in the men's 800m invite, clocking 1:55.25.
Victoria claims his second ODAC Athlete of the Week accolade of the indoor season, while Hunt snags his first of the year and third during the indoor season of his collegiate career. To view results from the Liberty Open, clickÂ
