Forest, Va. – Jefferson Lopez Coreas netted two goals across a pair of conference victories over Hampden-Sydney and Eastern Mennonite to secure his second ODAC Offensive Player of the Week nomination, announced by the league office on Monday.

In Wednesday's 2-1 home victory over Hampden-Sydney, Lopez Coreas received a through ball from Evan Pask and rocketed his shot past the Tigers' keeper. The goal proved to be the game winner, which marked Lopez Coreas' fourth of the season.

The Woodbridge, Va. native found his eighth goal of the regular season on Saturday as the Hornets cruised to a 3-1 win at Eastern Mennonite. With a 1-0 lead, Will Clark deposited a short pass inside the box to Lopez Coreas, who popped the net for added insurance on the scoreboard.

Lopez Coreas has scored in three of Lynchburg's last five matches, while the Hornets are 5-0-1 when he tallies a goal. Lynchburg has posted three consecutive victories to begin October.

The Hornets return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. when they face Shenandoah on the road at Glo Fiber Field.
