Forest, Va. -- For the third time this season, University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse player
Riley Hastings was honored as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Yet again, senior attackman Hastings quarterbacked the Hornets' offense that looked prolific against Roanoke this past week. He led the squad to a 17-13 victory over the RV Maroons this past Monday with a six-goal, two-assist performance.
On the season, Hastings leads the ODAC in points per game with a 5.78 mark, which is 11th-best in the country. Additionally, he leads the conference in goals per game with 2.00 per outing, which ranks 49th in DIII. As a group, the Hornets have the highest scoring offense across the entirety of division III, averaging 18.89 goals per affair.
The men's lacrosse team is set for its next competition in Virginia Beach, Va. against Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, April 1 at 4 p.m.
