GLENN ALLEN, Va. — The University of Lynchburg women's golf team placed eighth at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational, held at the Dominion Club.

The three-day event featured a strong field and consisted of 54 holes of competition. Lynchburg finished with a 977 team total after rounds of 331, 327, and 319, improving each day and closing with its best score of the tournament.

Lily Rowe led the Hornets, tying for 53rd overall with a three-round score of 240 (+24). Rowe posted rounds of 84 and 83 before firing a team-best 73 in the final round.

Grace Saunders added a consistent performance, finishing at 242 (+26) with rounds of 82, 80, and 80. Gabbie Hollberg carded a 246 (+30), highlighted by an opening-round 79, while Taylor Park improved each day to finish at 258 (+42) with rounds of 95, 81, and 82.

As a team, Lynchburg's steady progression over the final two rounds helped secure a top-10 finish against a nationally competitive field.

The Hornets will return to action April 6-7 at the The Greenbrier Intercollegiate Women's Invitational, set to be played at White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
