FOREST, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's golfer
Grace Saunders has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference golfer of the week, the league office announced Wednesday, April 8.
The sophomore from Springfield, Va., is fresh off a second-place finish at the Greenbrier Intercollegiate Women's Invitational, completing the tournament at +9. She opened play with a +6 in the first round before finishing strong with a +3 on day two.
Saunders and the Hornets secured the team title with rounds of 309 (+21) and 318 (+30) across the two days of competition. The victory marks Lynchburg's first tournament win since the 2023-24 season.
The honor is the first ODAC golfer of the week recognition for the women's golf program since Lily Rowe on Oct. 22, 2025, and the first of Saunders' collegiate career.
