Forest, Va. -- University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse athletes
Eric Allen and
Riley Hastings swept the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Hastings earns his fourth ODAC Offensive Player of the Week accolade this season following a game-leading six-point performance against nationally-ranked Randolph-Macon this past weekend. He paced the offense with five goals and one assist to lead Lynchburg to a 14-10 victory over the Yellow Jackets. Additionally, with 256 points in his career now, Hastings moved into fifth in program history for career points.
Allen claims his second ODAC Defensive Player of the Week nod this season after coming up big in high pressure moments against RMC. He and the defensive unit held Randolph-Macon to 10 goals in the four-goal victory. Allen stopped 10 shots in the win and tallied double-digit saves for the third time this season.
The Hornets are set to take on Shenandoah for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m.
