FOREST, Va. --Â University of Lynchburg men's tennis performer Ricards Spaks was selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
This past week, Spaks delivered another strong performance in the number one position. He opened with a straight-sets victory over Jacob Martin of Randolph Wildcats men's tennis, winning 6-4, 6-3. Against Shenandoah Hornets men's tennis, Spaks continued his dominant play, earning a 6-2, 6-1 singles win. He also teamed up with Nicholas Pierreux to secure a decisive 6-1 victory in doubles action.
On the season, Spaks boasts an impressive 11-2 overall record in singles, all from the number one spot in the lineup. He has also compiled a 10-4 record in doubles play, again competing exclusively in the top position.
The Hornets prepare for a home matchup against Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, April 19 at 11 a.m.
