Van Asch Named Ping All-American

NORMAN, Okla. -- Lynchburg senior Alan Van Asch was named to the GCAA PING Third Team All-America, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced following the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.

The honor adds another milestone to a standout senior campaign for Van Asch, who closed his collegiate career as one of the top golfers in the country. The Raleigh, N.C., native finished fifth overall at the NCAA Tournament, delivering one of the strongest national championship performances in program history.

Van Asch's All-America selection adds to an already impressive list of 2025-26 accolades. Earlier this season, he was named to the PING All-Region IV Team and earned First Team All-ODAC honors after leading the Hornets throughout the year.

Across the season, Van Asch recorded two top-three finishes, including a victory at the VSGA Intercollegiate Championship. His fifth-place finish on the national stage capped off a decorated four-year career with the Hornets and solidified his place among the nation's elite.

The accomplishment marks the eleventh time in program history a Hornet has received All-American honors, most recently Eddie Coffren in 2025. This is the third consecutive season a member of the Lynchburg program has recived a spot on an All-American list.
