Men's Soccer Defeats TCNJ 1-0 in OT

FREDERICKSBURG, VA - After over 93 minutes of scoreless soccer, Hornet sophomore midfielder Scott Colman (Yorktown, VA/York) broke the tie and lifted the Lynchburg College men's soccer team to a 1-0 overtime victory over the College of New Jersey. The game was part of the University of Mary Washington Classic.

                Colman (pictured) converted a cross from Cam Smith (Goode, VA/Jefferson Forest) at the 93:14 mark to give the Hornets their second-straight win at the Classic. Sophomore keeper Michael Henry (Virginia Beach, VA/Bayside) made two saves to preserve the shutout.

                TCNJ held small edges in shots (9-7) and corner kicks (6-4).

                The Hornets (2-1) return home next weekend to host the four-team Shellenberger Memorial Classic.
