Cary, N.C. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's swimming teams both finished third at the Pacer Invite Saturday night.
The men placed third out of 10 teams in the two-day event with 1,425.50 points, and the women earned 1,464.50 in the 12-team meet. UNC Pembroke won the women's meet while the Maroons of Roanoke College were victorious in the men's competition.

Lynchburg had six top-3 swims at the meet on Day 2 beginning with Colton Schnar's 51.37 in the 100-yard backstroke. He also placed third in the 200-yard backstroke finishing in 1:56.66.
Savy Borroughs came in third in the 100-yard freestyle with a 52.68, and Claire Galloway also placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:06.23 performance.
Two 400-yard freestyle relays came in third for Lynchburg. Miles West, Wyatt Dacus, William Kasemeyer, and Schnars went 3:08.20, and Molly Spano, Madelyn Foreman, Borroughs, and Regan Leach swam a 3:38.96.
The Hornets wrapped up the fall season ahead of Thanksgiving Break and will resume competition back home against Roanoke on Saturday, Jan. 20 at noon.
