Farmington, Pa. -- The University of Lynchburg women's golf team earned 11th place of 12 teams in the Tartan Invitational, hosted by Carnegie Mellon at the Nemacolin Resort, on Tuesday afternoon.
The highlight performance for the Hornets came from
Lily Rowe, who finished tied for 30th, shooting +15 over the course of two days.
Sydney Pickell (+22) placed second for the Hornets, placing 49th overall after a team best +8 on day two.
Gabbie Hollberg (+23) recorded her first eagle of the season on the first hole of the invitational, and finished 52nd overall.
Emma Nicol (+24) and Garce Saunders (+25) were the other Hornet performers that participated in the event.
Next up for Lynchburg is the Golfweek October Classic in Destin, Fla. at the San Destin Resort, taking place on Sunday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 15.
