FOREST, Va. --University of Lynchburg forward
Anna Dorrestijn has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Dorrestijn and the Hornets continued their late-season dominance with a pair of emphatic home victories, rolling past Roanoke 8-0 and overwhelming Eastern Mennonite 17-0 on Shellenberger Field.
The ODAC leader in points this year, Dorrestijn delivered back-to-back hat tricks --Â her second and third of the 2025Â campaign. Against the Maroons, she put together an eight-point outing with three goals and two assists, pacing a relentless Lynchburg attack.
The Driehuis, Netherlands native followed that up with a record-setting performance versus Eastern Mennonite, scoring five times, tying the second-most goals in a single game in program history, and adding an assist to cap a remarkable eleven-point showing. Across the two matches, Dorrestijn scored eight goals on 15 shots, with nine attempts on frame.
She concluded the regular season ranked among the nation's elite, averaging 1.00 goals per game and 0.65 assists per game --Â good for 21st and 14th in NCAA Division III, respectively.
