Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's and women's swim teams were both tabbed Scholar All-American Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2024-25 fall season.

To earn this honorable recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade points average higher than 3.0 during the 2024 fall semester. Of the selected teams spanning from NCAA Division I through NJCAA, 654 recorded a 3.30 or better, including the Lynchburg men's swim team, to qualify for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the student-athletes on the men's and women's swim teams, Lynchburg has achieved the highest standards in the classroom while representing excellence in the pool. Coach Brad Dunn, their staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to success both academically and athletically, setting a standard of quality the university is proud of.

Lynchburg is one of five schools in the ODAC that achieved Scholar All-American Status. The other schools in the conference were Bridgewater (women's), Hollins (women's), Virginia Wesleyan (women's), and Washington and Lee (men's and women's). Lynchburg and Washington and Lee were the only two schools in the ODAC to have both the men's and women's programs named to the CSCAA Scholar All-American list.

After wrapping up the regular season with an impressive 18 program records in short course meters against Bridgewater, the Hornets gear up for the ODAC Championships, which are set to take place in Greensboro, N.C. from Wednesday, February 12 through Saturday, February 15.
